How I'm Keeping my skin hydrated this winter

***

I'm quite proud of myself at how many new products I've tried this year. From changing foundations, to experimenting with all sorts of make up and new skincare products, I have definitely embraced one of my main mantras for 2017 - don't be afraid to try new things!

Around this time last year I did a similar post about the Cocoa Butter products I had newly discovered, which were great for helping me fight the winter chills. So I guess you might say this is a bit of an update to that post which you can read here.

*Vitamin E Hydrating Mist*

This year, I've opted for Superdrug's Vitamin E products to keep my face hydrated during those particularly windy days! This hydrating mist feels super refreshing when I spray it on my face, I almost don't feel like wiping it off when I'm done! It also feels extra refreshing if you leave it to cool in the fridge. This mist is perfect for restoring any extra lost moisture and keeping the skin nice and plump! I usually use this once in the morning before moisturising and once at night after washing my make up off and cleansing.

*Vitamin E SPF 15 Radiance Moisture Cream*

This moisturiser is so rich and creamy and settles so well into my skin without leaving behind any unwanted residue. I've strayed away from using very thick moisturisers for a few years now because of a bad experience that caused me to break out horribly. So, you can imagine my surprise when I had no negative reactions to the Vitamin E Radiance Moisture Cream. Since I started using this moisturiser and its accompanying Hydrating Mist, I noticed that my skin has definitely retained a lot of its moisture for longer periods of time during the day. Both products are Superdrug exclusives and you can get them here and here.

*Palmer's Cocoa Butter Range*

So I've already spoken about Palmer's Perfecting Facial Oil in this post, in fact, this is probably my most talked about product on the blog, lol, and it's definitely one I'm going to continue using even into the winter months. I usually apply this at night after cleansing and spritzing some Hydrating Mist over my face. It's the perfect combination for a great night's rest! You know, I'm actually seriously considering doing a skincare routine video - let me know if you guys think I should! Anyway, I also swapped my Palmer's Cocoa Butter body moisturiser for the Shea Formula Raw Body Butter and honestly guys, my body hasn't felt more radiant! I have to say that it's more moisturising than the Cocoa Butter formula, but the only thing is that I've found this product so hard to find. Luckily for me, I managed to get this bottle at Superdrug a couple of weeks back - find yours here.

One thing all the products I've mentioned in this post have in common is their use of Vitamin E! When I noticed this perfect coincidence, I decided to look up some of the benefits of Vitamin E on the skin, and here are a few interesting ones I found:

  1. It helps reduce the signs of ageing and keeps the skin looking young and youthful;
  2. It helps to heal scars and spots quickly; and
  3. It restores moisture and rejuvenated dehydrated skin.

Not bad, huh?!

Leave a comment below to let me know if you guys have tried any of these product before and what you think of them! And don't forget to wrap up warm guys!

Love, K.G ❤️
